Introduction
Hi, we are Emily and Luke. We are a happily married couple who is excited to adopt a child. Adoption is something we always thought highly of, and now we know this is how we were meant to build our family. It would be such a blessing and honor to welcome an adopted baby into our lives. We are ready to be the best parents we can be and share all the love in our hearts.
About Us
We met seven years ago on a dating website. We started out as just friends. This gave us a chance to really get to know each other well. After about a month or two of dating, we decided we made a good couple, and have been inseparable since! We have a very solid foundation of respect, love, and understanding. This has gotten us through all the ups and downs of life. We had a small wedding in Hawaii, surrounded by close family.
One thing other’s notice about us is we are always holding hands. We are best friends and love spending time together, whether it’s a cozy night at home watching a movie, hanging out with the cats, enjoying the outdoors, or traveling somewhere new. Being by each other’s side makes life better. We like to live a simple, peaceful lifestyle. We believe this will set a good example for our child and make them feel secure.

“Emily is a compassionate and loving individual. Strong spirited and warm hearted, she would make a wonderful mother to any child. She has a lot of experience in childcare and interacts very well with children. I know she will make the best mother because of how patient and nurturing she is. Emily also is very creative and loves photography, crafts, and nature. She looks forward to being a stay-at-home mom and dedicating herself to spending quality time with our child doing arts/crafts, playing outside, and encouraging our child to use its imagination”.

“Luke would be a wonderful father because he is generous, protective, and considerate with the people he loves. He is a hard worker, a dedicated husband, and an all-around good guy. I know he will enjoy teaching our child new things and providing it the best life possible. Luke also loves doing yard work outside, building new things, reading sci-fi (like Star Wars), and video games. He can’t wait to have a child enjoy some of these things with him”.
Family Life
We enjoy spending time outside, whether its hiking, going to the beach, or gardening in our yard. We also love DIY projects, spending time with family, cooking, exploring new places, and our two adorable cats Cosmo and Monkey.
We love to embrace all of the seasons. We go strawberry picking every June, Apple picking every Fall, botanical gardens in the Spring, and vacation at the beach every Summer. We also love holiday traditions, especially Christmas. We can’t wait to decorate our tree and open presents with our child one day!
We look forward to having a child and all the new adventures it will bring. We can’t wait to go to parks, zoos, Disney, sports games, bike riding, sleigh riding, art projects, and anything else the child enjoys.
Our Friends and Family
We live in the same town as Emily’s parents, who we are very close with. We regularly get together for game nights, meals, and of course holidays. They can’t wait to babysit our child. We also live near Emily’s brother’s family. They have three children who would be thrilled to have a new cousin!
Luke’s family lives in North Carolina and we enjoy visiting them during our Summer vacations. His grandma is an artist with original paintings all over her home (she also gave us some for our home) and his mom loves to cook us big Italian meals. Luke is also very close with his cousin who has small children. We enjoy going to the beautiful beaches in North Carolina during our visit down there.
Although we don’t have children of our own, we enjoy spending time with our nieces and nephews. Emily has helped raise her nephew Jacob since he was a newborn. Luke also has spent a lot of time helping to raise his younger cousins. We are a very tight-knit family.
All our family and friends are extremely supportive of our decision to adopt. Emily also has several adopted cousins. We have a very diverse family of different ethnicities and backgrounds, so an adopted child would feel very accepted and loved.
Our Home and Community
We live in a two-bedroom home down a long, winding driveway. Our home is surrounded by nature and wildlife. Luke built our patio himself. It’s very peaceful to sit outside and listen to the birds and enjoy our gardens. We live on a big piece of property tucked back in the woods, so there’s plenty of open area for a child to enjoy and play. We have many gardens and plants, including vegetables, herbs, and a variety of flowers. The butterflies and hummingbirds love to visit us in the Summer! Emily also grows giant Sunflowers that the goldfinches love. Luke also loves to Barbeque on our patio as well.
We live in a safe, rural area of New Jersey. It has been rated one of the top counties in New Jersey to live because there is a high quality of life here. In fact, many celebrities choose to live in this area because it is such a beautiful, affluent, and family oriented community. We also are lucky to have some of New Jersey’s top-rated schools in our town, so our child will be able to have an excellent education.
We live near a vibrant downtown with an ice cream shop, candy shop, restaurants, stores, museums, art galleries, and family activities. Every season brings something new. There is an annual Christmas parade with carolers and a Christmas tree lighting, Easter egg hunts, a “haunted” red mill during Halloween, street fairs, farmers markets, and various other community events for kids to enjoy. There are also several beautiful parks and reservoirs to enjoy around here.
The people in our community tend to be very welcoming, friendly, and open-minded. We are sure that an adopted child would feel very welcome in our area. Luke and Emily both grew up in this area and have always loved playing in the woods and being outdoors as children. This is probably why we have such a love of nature.
We can't wait to decorate the second bedroom as a nursery. There is plenty of room here to make the baby feel comfortable and happy.

We will always instill good values so that your child can grow up to be a good person who is caring, thoughtful, and happy.
